Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and determination to bettering South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services through an engagement using the agency's senior managers in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled during the 2024 matric final exams.
With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% of the registered pupils within the schooling sector.
These learners accomplished a commendable pass rate of 86%.
